The Community Foundations of Southern NM and Lincoln County are supporting the NM Wildfire Relief Fund and Emergency Action Fund through the Greatest Need Fund for Lincoln and Otero counties.
On Wednesday, June 19 we will continue taking donations but we will transition to items that our firefighters need such as sunscreen, chapstick, lotion, benadryl (allergy meds), tylenol, aspirin, cooling towels, menthol wipes, other similar items. We will accept donations between 8 am and 5 pm at the Otero County Fairgrounds. We will disburse those donations at 8 am, 11 am and 4pm. Thank you again Otero County for your generosity and helping our neighbors, family and friends.
Team Pioneer proudly donated $20,000 to the Salvation Army to provide gift cards for fire evacuees in the Ruidoso and Mescalero area. These gift cards will allow families to buy the essential items they desperately need during this difficult time.
The Salvation Army Roswell will be getting the gift cards together and will be posting on their page how they will be distributing them. Please follow their page for details. Please be patient, getting that many gift cards will take a day or two.
We urge you to join us in supporting our community. You can make a donation at any Pioneer Bank location. Rest assured, every dollar you contribute will stay within our local community, directly helping those affected by the fire. None of the funds will go to administrative costs—every cent goes to those in need.
